The 2017 Summer Field Day is June 16 at the Oak Shelter at Black Hoof Park, Lenexa, Kansas.

This year's featured speaker is Dan Mekkes. Dan is a Certified Treecare Safety Specialist and noted tree care expert of Tree Tech Talk and Townsend Tree LLC from Muncie, Indiana. Judy O'Mara and Dr. Raymond Cloyd from Kansas State University will also give updates on insects and plant diseases affecting the tree care industry in Kansas. ​
